Lets get some strippers in here!

Dealing with electronics, we’ll inevitably need to deal with wires at one point or another. The first thing you’ll have to do is to strip the insulation to get to the meat of it, so to speak. So what are your options? Here’s a video about the different options:

As covered in our Show & Tell this week, in a pinch (pun intended), you can use a pocket knife to strip the wire which isn’t covered in this video. I tend to use it as it’s simple. Similarly to the electrician scissors, you pass the blade around the insulation by pressing on it but you have to be extremely careful as you can also cut yourself. It is not ideal but so you are better off sticking with the other ways from the video.

Dealing with electronics as we do at the Sandbox, you’ll mostly deal with thinner wires but it’s always good to know more!
